28 Surgical Beds Staffing levels for each shift time: 4FTE Registrars, 5FTE JMOs, TRRH only has VMO General Surgeons who attend daily to the hospital for rounds and Theatres. ; Surgeons share on-call; egistrars share the on-call and weekends and ED and Theatres will ring the Registrar after hours in the first instance to review patients in ED or preparing patient for Emergency Operations. Registrar will need to contact the Surgeon on-call when they have assessed the patient.
As an Orthopaedic VMO, you will be integrated onto the department roster and may be required to cover the 24hr on-call, clinics or Trauma OT. The Orthopaedic consultants are well supported by a full registrar roster.
Accommodation provided and travel up to $900 reimbursed (flights or mileage only).
