The Role
Inland Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking a highly competent Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team based in Naval Base, WA.
This is a full-time, hands-on role working across a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, while managing your own jobs from start to finish.
⚠️ This position is strictly for WA-based candidates (Perth preferred). Interstate and overseas applications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and associated systems
* Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance across a varied fleet
* Accurately diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently
* Complete clear and accurate job reports and documentation
* Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
* Communicate effectively with team members and management
* Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
* Australian recognised Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel / HV Mechanic or similar)
* Minimum 2+ years post trade experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
* Strong diagnostic ability – able to fault find without relying on constant supervision
* Experience across a range of heavy vehicles and diesel equipment
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
* Reliable, punctual, and consistent
* Strong communication skills and professional attitude
* Current Driver’s Licence
