New Opportunities for experienced Metal Machinists have presented for those with experience in the mining sector. This role demands proficiency in heavy engineering, particularly in the realm of mining and resources. Your tasks may involve machining components crucial for essential equipment for mining infrastructure projects.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 Years full-time working in comparable position
- Cert III in Relevant Trade
- Experience working in a mining environment and on mining plant/equipment
- Operate precision machining equipment to fabricate metal parts for mining machinery
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to set up and machine components accurately
- Perform turning, milling, drilling, and grinding operations to meet required dimensions and finishes
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality
- Troubleshoot machining issues and propose process improvements
- Collaborate with team members to optimize machining strategies
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to regulations
- Document work activities and participate in training for skill enhancement
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues for project coordination
- Conduct routine maintenance on machining equipment for optimal performance
Pay and Conditions:
- Base Rate: $35/hr
- $15-$30/hr in allowances based on experience and role
- Total hourly rate: $50/hr - $65/hr
- Full time employment with rostered mining hours
