What you’ll do
In this role, you will be assigned to a cloud migration project for one of Accenture’s client. You will take part in workshops and work closely with senior stakeholders or leadership team to migrate from on-premise to cloud. You will be responsible for updating documentation, providing status, triaging a problem and working through any future projects in our Business Agility practice.
Key responsibilities
Leading End-to-End Atlassian Cloud Migrations
* Taking ownership of Jira and Confluence Data Center/Server to Cloud migrations.
* Planning, sequencing, and executing the full migration lifecycle—including discovery, readiness, test, production cutover, and support.
Solution Design & Technical Leadership
* Designing cloud architecture and identity management solutions for complex enterprise environments.
* Providing recommendations or workarounds for third-party Marketplace Apps that don't have cloud equivalents.
* Developing custom migration approaches where standard tools fall short.
Tools & Technical Execution
* Using and configuring migration tools (JCMA, CCMA, Project Configurator, etc.).
* Managing data transformations, workflows, field mappings, and automation rules.
* Using APIs, SCIM, SSO, Atlassian Guard, and other tools to ensure compliant and secure integration.
Environment Assessment & Readiness
* Assessing and analysing legacy Atlassian environments to understand data shape and complexity.
* Conducting discovery workshops, risk assessments, and readiness reviews with stakeholders.
Migration Strategy Development
* Creating tailored migration roadmaps (wave-based, big bang, etc.).
* Designing rollback and contingency plans to mitigate risks during go-lives.
* Leading test migrations, UAT, and production cutovers with minimal business impact.
Complex Instance Consolidation
* Supporting multi-instance, multi-site consolidation, and guiding federated-to-centralized transformations.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
* Presenting technical migration plans in a clear and digestible way to non-technical stakeholders.
* Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business users.
Coaching and Team Guidance
* Mentoring junior migration staff.
* Supporting clients in complex decision-making regarding data, risk, compliance, and tooling.
Here’s what you need
* Proven track record leading Atlassian Data Center/Server to Cloud migrations (medium to large-scale)
* Advanced knowledge of Atlassian Cloud architecture, capabilities, and limitations – especially able to provide solutions to solve complex Atlassian cloud identity management scenarios
* Understanding of Marketplace Apps (3rd-party plugins) and their cloud alternatives or workarounds
* Strong experience with Atlassian migration tools such as Cloud Migration Assistants (JCMA/CCMA) & App-specific migration tools (e.g., Project Configurator, Elements Copy & Sync)
* Skilled in managing complex data shape transformations, custom field mappings, workflows, permissions, and automation rules
* Ability to assess legacy environments & DC environments using backend, API or other solutions to accelerate the data shape assessments for Jira & Confluence instances
* Ability to think out of the box to provide custom solutions & pathways
* Expertise in developing migration roadmaps, sequencing strategies (wave-based or big bang), and rollback/contingency plans
* Strong understanding of multi-site, multi-instance consolidation, and federated to centralized model transformations
* Experience with Atlassian APIs (REST APIs), webhooks, and automation frameworks
* Working knowledge of Atlassian Guard, SSO configuration, SCIM provisioning, authentication policies, and 2FA enforcement
* Experience in supporting compliance needs (e.g., data residency, audit logging, PII controls, IP allowlisting, security risk controls)
* Strong client-facing skills; able to clearly articulate complex technical plans to non-technical stakeholders
* Capable of running discovery workshops, risk assessments, and migration readiness reviews
* Ability to lead and coordinate test migrations, UAT, and production go-lives with minimal downtime
