Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Condition Monitoring Officer to join our team at the Kwinana plant. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring and managing the health of fixed plant production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine data collection including vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication, ultrasonic testing, and non-destructive testing.
* Review and interpret data from condition monitoring and maintenance history.
* Recommend proactive maintenance actions.
* Collaborate with operations, planning, and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of corrective actions.
* Publish monthly reports and provide input at engineering meetings.
* Maintain, calibrate, and manage diagnostic equipment.
* Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
* Continuously improve monitoring practices through feedback loops and learnings.
* Provide expert guidance on fixed plant condition monitoring strategies.
* Use time-series analysis to identify degradation patterns and defect progression.
* Support cost-saving initiatives through early defect detection and condition-based maintenance strategies.
* Identify and manage implementation of innovative/smart monitoring technologies.
* Ensure all work complies with site safety, WHS, and environmental standards.
Requirements
* A trade qualification or tertiary engineering degree with experience in condition monitoring and proven application of condition-based maintenance strategies.
* Vibration Category-2 and Lubrication Category-2 certified.
* Deep technical knowledge of fixed plant assets such as conveyors, kiln/drums, pumps, and other rotating machinery.
* Proficiency in SAP or equivalent CMMS platforms.
* Hands-on experience with vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication monitoring techniques, including accurate interpretation and practical application.
* Advanced data analysis skills, including using systems such as Asset Health Manager, PI System, or equivalent.
* Ability to manage competing priorities while monitoring trends across critical fixed plant assets.
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for diverse audiences including planners, engineers, and frontline teams.
* Strong problem-solving capability, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to timely delivery.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams and functions.
* Experience with root cause analysis and equipment failure investigations (desired).
* Advanced Microsoft Office programs skills.
