About the role:

As the Commercial Advisory Manager, you will lead up to 10 team members and be responsible for the integrated design and leadership of strategic, commercial business outcomes across the Unitywater Capital portfolio through expert advisory and solutions-driven support throughout the lifecycle of all infrastructure projects. The key functions of the role will include but not be limited to:
* Lead and develop the contract administration team to manage variations, claims, and amendments, ensuring efficient resource allocation across the SIS contract management workload.
* Resolve contractual disputes, identify, manage and mitigate agreed risks, and ensure alignment with organisational goals and program/project objectives, in conjunction with SIS SLT, Manager, Commercial, Risk and Advisory and UW Contract Managers
* Design and implement integrated processes and ways of working that ensure timely execution of contractual obligations by contractors, suppliers, and external partners.
* Work with Manager, Commercial, Risk and Advisory, to drive continuous improvement initiatives in contract management to enhance value for money, performance, and efficiency across projects.
* As part of a broader transformation program, develop and provide advice on best practice, governance and frameworks and solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
* Facilitate the integration of commercial, risk, and operational strategies and process across SIS, ensuring SIS capital program alignment with Unitywater's broader growth goals, strategic ambitions and operational excellence.

About you:

* Proven experience delivering advisory services that solve complex project challenges, enhance contract and project performance, manage risk, and drive innovative commercial outcomes—ideally in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Previous experience in water supply, sewerage and recycled water planning or similar asset intensive infrastructure experience, advising on the full capital project lifecycle from concept development to execution and handover, including risk identification and mitigation.
* Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing change across an organisation, as well as the ability to implement innovative solutions that enhance operational and commercial performance.
* Extensive knowledge of governance and compliance requirements in infrastructure projects, with experience implementing ISO standards and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. A background in conducting audits, managing compliance activities, and overseeing quality assurance processes is highly valuable.
* Bachelor's degree in business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; coupled with previous leadership experience.
