Overview
The Management Accountant works closely with the Financial Planning & Performance Manager, supporting management with reporting, profitability analysis, and financial modelling. This role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and provides backup payroll processing support.
Responsibilities
* Prepare management reporting and advise on budget, forecast and strategic plans.
* Monitor and report production and purchase cost variances; collaborate with teams to manage operational expenditure.
* Lead analysis and coordination of indirect procurement for allocated operational expenditure categories.
* Ensure general ledger accounts present a true and fair financial view.
* Develop and maintain forecasting models for sales margins and operational expenditure.
* Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights into cost control and margin improvement opportunities.
* Develop financial models to support commercial and operational projects.
* Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for finance KPIs.
* Lead or support continuous improvement projects to improve financial processes and automation.
* Comply with health, safety, environment and quality procedures and policies.
Qualifications
* Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
* Experience in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis.
* Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* Strong analytical and modelling skills.
* Ability to partner with cross‐functional teams and influence decision making.
* Knowledge of procurement and cost control processes is an advantage.
