Administration Assistant

Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking an experienced and self‑motivated Administration Assistant, based at the Copper Smelter. This full‑time, permanent position will report to the Manager – Operations and the roster offers the option to work a 5:2/ 4:3 9‑hour per day work roster or on a 5/2 8‑hour per day work roster.
The Role
In this position you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of administration support to the Copper Smelter & wider business to achieve its objectives through the effective support of the work management planning and administration functions. Responsibilities
* Booking and coordination of visitor site visits
* Developing and applying administrative systems and processes for continuous improvement
* Coordinating department travel arrangements
* Ensuring all office inventory levels are maintained
* Liaising with the administration team across site on ad hoc and planned projects
* On‑boarding of new starters in collaboration with HR
* Contractor administration support on site
* Co‑ordinate and liaise with contractors and other similar service providers
* Managing and organizing of management calendars
* Assisting with functions and BBQ's
* Manage contractor SES sheets for operational teams
* Facilitate the digital elements of the morning production meeting
* Co‑ordinate the effective development and deployment of value add EOM reports
* Record and report accurate contractor hours
* Reconcile company credit card and concur systems
* Maintain a high standard of confidentiality
Qualifications
* Previous experience in administration
* Manual Australian drivers' licence
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of SAP/Ellipse and Bsafe is desirable
* Excellent customer service delivery and organisational skills
* The ability to meet set deadlines and prioritise activities where required
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail and high problem‑solving skills.
