About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Perioperative Theatre Technician to support our surgical operations by ensuring our operating theatre is optimally prepared, maintained, and equipped for procedures. You'll play a vital role in facilitating smooth theatre operations while working alongside our collaborative team of surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff.
What You'll Be Doing
* Prepare and maintain the operating theatre, ensuring all surgical equipment and supplies are ready and functional
* Perform equipment checks, calibration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal theatre readiness
* Assist with patient positioning and provide hands-on support to the surgical team during procedures
* Manage stock levels, gas supply, instrument decontamination, and coordination with external sterilisation services
* Uphold strict infection control and workplace safety standards throughout all theatre operations
* Assist in the thorough cleaning and decontamination of the theatre and recovery areas post-procedure
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a perioperative or similar healthcare support role
* Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures, theatre equipment, and infection control protocols
* Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards
* Outstanding teamwork and communication abilities
* Valid driver's licence for instrument transport duties
