Together we’re building hope and possibility for all.Find out more and .**Your Opportunity**We are seeking a committed and compassionate Case Manager to join our Pre & Post Release Support Service (PPRSS) team in Katherine. This is an on-site position that also includes outreach in the community, where you will provide intensive, person-centred case management to individuals transitioning from correctional settings back into the community.In this role, you will help participants achieve personal goals, secure stable housing, strengthen social and family connections, and access the services they need to thrive. You’ll be part of a collaborative, culturally responsive team delivering evidence-based interventions that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.**Your Key Responsibilities*** Develop and implement holistic, strength-based individualised case plans using SMART goals, including referrals to supplementary services.* Provide specialised case management and evidence-based interventions for participants with complex needs.* Assist participants in transitioning from correctional settings into the community, including securing accommodation and building life skills.* Respond to referrals, undertake initial registrations, and conduct formal assessments of suitability for support.* Maintain accurate participant records, complete reports and data entry, ensuring compliance with organisational protocols and statutory requirements.* Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and community stakeholders to improve participant outcomes.* Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs and activities aligned with participant needs and program guidelines.* Undertake occasional travel by road, including to remote locations, to meet participant and program needs.**Requirements for Success*** Relevant degree with at least 1 year of experience, or Associate Diploma with relevant experience, or equivalent expertise gained through substantial industry experience.* Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access Northern Territory Correctional Centres.* Expertise working with diverse participant groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and understanding cultural protocols.* Experience in justice or community services sectors, including trauma-informed, person-centred approaches.* Ability to manage a complex caseload and provide specialised interventions.* Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and ability to maintain program compliance.* Excellent engagement, listening, and relationship-building skills with participants and stakeholders.* Well-developed written and verbal communication, including administrative and reporting skills.* Full driver licence with no restrictions.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.**Your Benefits**To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:* Rewarding work – every day you know you’re making a real difference* Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via )* Free external, confidential counselling and access to .* Volunteering opportunities* Extra leave available including an additional public holiday, additional annual leave day on your work anniversary and the opportunity to purchase further annual leave.* Remote Location Benefits include: + Additional $300 each year to help with cost of living in a remote area + Access to up to 3 additional days Personal/carers leave each year (non-accruing)**Our Culture**Our innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
