The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives under pressure and doesn't need hand-holding. You'll own the entire housekeeping operation — from rostering to quality control — ensuring every houseboat is guest-ready and every turnaround runs like clockwork.
What You'll Manage:
* Staff rostering and coordination for our cleaning team
* Quality inspections and cleaning standards across our fleet
* Linen ordering, inventory management, and packing
* Cleaning supplies procurement and stock control
* Building and maintaining a reliable, motivated housekeeping team
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced manager who:
* Has proven housekeeping or cleaning management experience (references required)
* Takes ownership and solves problems independently
* Stays calm and organised under pressure on busy turnaround days
* Holds high standards and isn't afraid to maintain them
* Communicates clearly with your team and management
The Work Pattern
This role centres around our turnaround days (primarily Mondays and Fridays) when houseboats return in the morning and depart with new guests in the afternoon. It's organised chaos — and you'll love it.
Room to Grow
For the right person who proves themselves in the housekeeping role, there's potential to expand to a full-time position (38 hours/week). The extended role would add guest management, social media marketing, and telephone enquiries to your responsibilities — a genuine operations role for someone ready to grow with us.
