A growing, purpose-led Australian retirement living platform is seeking a Corporate Development Associate or Analyst to join its Melbourne-based team.
This role offers hands-on exposure across corporate development (M&A), financial modelling, acquisitions, and portfolio management within a long-term owner of social infrastructure assets. The business operates a flat structure, providing close access to senior leadership and meaningful involvement across strategic and operational initiatives.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO (and working closely with the CEO - ex Global Infrastructure Fund Managing Director), the role combines financial rigour with broad commercial exposure across an established and expanding retirement living portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and maintaining platform-level forecast and valuation models, including budgeting, business planning, and portfolio analysis
* Supporting financial due diligence and analysis for acquisitions and select development opportunities, including preparation of materials for senior management and board-level stakeholders
* Undertaking corporate development, research, and analytical work to support strategic initiatives and broader business development projects
* Contributing across cross-functional initiatives involving operations, finance, sales and marketing, and regulatory matters
* The role is structured to provide balanced exposure across modelling, transactions, and strategy.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
* Approximately
2–5 years' experience
in Big 4 or similar advisory environments (valuation, transaction services, M&A, deals modelling, or real estate advisory)
* Strong experience working with
valuation and financial models for operating businesses
* Exposure to real estate, infrastructure, resources, or other asset-backed or operating-company sectors (broader backgrounds considered)
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial judgement
* An interest in working within a
long-term, purpose-led investment platform
with direct impact and responsibility
