**The Role**
The Business Engagement and Support Team within the Child Care Subsidy Branch have two APS Level 6 roles available
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is the main way the Australian Government helps families with child care fees. CCS is generally paid to providers who pass it on to families as a fee reduction. Providers must be approved by the department to receive CCS on behalf of families.
The Business Engagement and Support Team has four key work streams:
- Governance: managing the overarching relationship with Services Australia as per the Services Schedule.
- Escalation and Incident Management: working with Services Australia to resolve and remediate issues affecting delivery of CCS.
- New Work: assisting policy teams to engage with Services Australia and make changes to implement new or changed policy.
- CCS Provider Helpdesk: assisting child care providers that administer CCS comply with Family Assistance Law.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
As an **Analyst (APS6)**, you will be responsible for the following:
- Developing relevant documentation, including scenarios, business requirements and policy intent statements, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Writing business requirements for inclusion in the solution documents where it is determined Education have an active role in service delivery (e.g., approval of Providers).
- Reviewing content to ensure policy intent can be translated by Services Australia into business and technical requirements.
- Attending business and technical co-design sessions.
- Maintaining the register of project requirement templates and stakeholder sign off.
- Managing the External Costing Request process and maintaining the register of costings.
- Analysing information collected by the CCS Provider Helpdesk to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and develop and implement applicable changes to help make it easier for Child Care providers to administer the CCS.
- Assisting with the creation and review of internal and external resources related to the CCS system.
- Completing overflow work as required to assist the broader team during peak periods.
As a **Team Supervisor (APS6)**, you will be responsible for the following:
- Analysing and interpreting data to identify issues and provide solutions.
- Regularly meeting and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drafting complex documents for Executive, including budget planning and forecasting staffing levels.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and procurement functions.
- Assisting and supporting Team Leaders (APS5) with staff and team management, including:
- Break scheduling
- Providing regularly coaching, support and feedback to staff
- Performance management of staff
