Blake Machinery Group (BMG) is a large family-owned business specialising in the supply and maintenance of high quality earthmoving equipment to the mining, civil and private sectors.
BMG is currently looking for experienced tyre fitters to join our team in far north Queensland supporting a large and diverse fleet of mobile equipment at Bauxite Hills Mine. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in safe work practices, enjoys variety and wants a stable roster with excellent work-life balance.
Key duties:
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of tyres across BMG's complete fleet, including but not limited to:
* Haulage tyres (315/80R22.5 and 325/95R24)
* Caterpillar 992, 988K, 980M, 950GC
* Caterpillar 14M & 140M
* Caterpillar 226D & 232D
* Volvo A60H
* Light Vehicles
Tools & Equipment
You will be supported with quality tooling and purpose-built equipment including:
* Cat 980M tyre handler
* Eagle and Corghi truck tyre changer machines
* Edmo 50t and 100t jacks
* Dedicated service utility for breakdowns
* Full range of hand tools supplied
Essential skills:
* Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing
* HR Drivers License
* Forklift License
* Experience working on heavy earthmoving or heavy haulage equipment
* Integrated tool carrier ticket (highly desirable, but not critical)
Candidates with mining/FIFO experience will also be viewed favourably.
