Responsibilities
Monash University invites applications for a Level B (Lecturer) or Level C (Senior Lecturer) appointment in experimental nanophotonics. The successful candidate will:
* Develop and lead an independent research program in one or more areas of experimental nanophotonics, including metasurfaces and metamaterials, applications of plasmonics, mid-IR and THz photonics, nanophotonics for imaging, electron-beam induced nanophotonic phenomena, and photonics of two-dimensional materials
* Establish and grow a world-class research program aligned with Monash's nanoscience and technology initiatives
* Supervise and mentor students; engage with interdisciplinary teams; contribute to teaching and the broader academic community
This is a rare opportunity to establish leadership in nanophotonics research and contribute to the activities of the Physics or Imaging and Quantum Light, Information, Matter and Electronics (QLIME) groups at Monash.

Qualifications
We seek a visionary physicist with an outstanding research record in experimental nanophotonics, including one or more of the following areas:
* Metasurfaces and metamaterials
* Applications of plasmonics
* Mid-IR and THz photonics
* Nanophotonics for imaging applications
* Electron-beam induced nanophotonic phenomena
* Photonics of two-dimensional materials
All are active areas of research in the School of Physics and Astronomy.
