Food Services Assistant Job Description
This role involves working in a supportive environment to provide exceptional service to patients and visitors at our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing, regenerating, plating, delivering, and collecting meals throughout the day.
* Dish washing and delivering Burlodge trolleys.
* Washing and sanitising kitchen area, items, and equipment.
* Cleaning patient trays.
* Accurately assembling tray supplies and food on tray line.
* Regeneration of meals for patients, residents, and functions as required.
* Delivering, distributing, and collecting all patient/resident food requirements and meal trays according to specific clinical requirements.
* Strip, sort, sanitise, and clean all trays, cutlery, and utensils.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Current Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1.
* Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA001) - Follow basic food safety practises.
* Comprehensive understanding of diet codes, texture modified foods, and fluids, food allergies, and intolerances.
* Established knowledge of Monash Health processes and procedures.
* Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying, and manual handling.
* Basic to intermediate computer skills.
* Current Victorian drivers licence (desirable).
