Overview
Design & Build are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join a leading luxury residential builder on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are fully prepared for site commencement with complete documentation, permits, and approvals. Our client is an award winning builder, renowned for delivering architecturally designed, premium residences across Melbourne. With a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and a collaborative approach, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well established builder.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all pre-construction documentation across architectural, interior, structural, and services packages.
* Prepare and lodge permits, approvals, and applications (planning, building, demolition, services, etc.).
* Manage site readiness including demolition, service connections, and compliance documentation.
* Coordinate pool and landscaping approvals, design integration, and compliance.
* Liaise with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure timely project progression.
* Track progress through project management software and maintain accurate reporting.
* Ensure all documentation meets compliance and quality standards.
The Ideal Candidate
* Diploma or Degree in Building Design, Architecture, or Construction Management.
* 3-5 years' experience in design coordination or documentation management, ideally within luxury residential projects.
* Strong understanding of construction documentation, regulatory approvals, and authority processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, and project management platforms (e.g. Procore, MS Projects).
* Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
