Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a 50/50 joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel). The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon, leucoxene, and rutile, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Mining, this is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Emergency Services Officerto join our growing mining company.
This role will play a pivotal role in providing site medical and emergency response services to ensure Thunderbird Operations adheres to our Mine Safety Management System.
This position is not part of a regular casual roster but will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, depending on business requirements. Typical site coverage may align with:
West Kimberley Resident - 8 days on, 6 days off Bus-In/Bus-Out roster, subject to operational needs.
Perth Resident - 8 days on, 6 days off Fly-n/Fly-out roster, subject to operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Promptly and effectively respond to minor or major incidents, offering medical assistance as required
* Facilitate and administer drug and alcohol testing inline with procedure
* Offer insights and recommendations for medical clearances for prospective or returning employees, aligned with site policies and procedures
* Provide guidance and continuous support to on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT)
* Conduct internal audits and inspections of emergency response equipment to ensure appropriate maintenance, and optimal functionality
About You
* Hold a current WA C-Class driver's licence
* Tertiary qualification in Nursing or Paramedical Science
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
* Certificate HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs and Abuse Testing
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar medical emergency response position, in a mining environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation
* Strong administration skills, ensuring information is recorded accurately and updated as required
* High level of attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with INX would be advantageous
