Your part in St Andrew's War Memorial
As part of the St Andrews War Memorial Hospital's theatre team, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care within your scope of practice to individuals and their families, supporting clinical staff as directed to achieve an environment for optimal patient outcomes within the theatre environment.
You'll complete a range of non-clinical support tasks, providing support to the Specialists and Clinical Staff in the set up of theatres for surgery, delivering an exceptional patient-centred experience by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Complete case set ups for Theatre
* Support theatres Sterile Store room
* Take theatre lists and select appropriate preference cards for the surgeon/ anaesthetist
* Prepare any consumable, prosthetic and reusable medical devices (instruments) from theatre lists
* Support imprest monitoring
* Escalate any equipment shortfall to managers
* Maintain surgeon / anaesthetist preference cards
* Ensure the store room is organised and free from hazards
