We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Assistant Motel Manager to join our growing hospitality operation. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys being directly involved in a day to day motel operations and is committed to building a long term career in hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and lead hands-on housekeeping operations, including cleaning a minimum of 15+ rooms daily, with daily room inspections and brand-standard quality checks to ensure 4-star presentation at all times
* Supervise and maintain housekeeping standards through detailed checklists and consistency in cleaning quality
* Operate the front desk using Property Management Systems (PMS), including managing reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and daily reports
* Provide a high standard of guest experience management, handling guest enquiries, bookings, and complaints professionally and efficiently
* Set up and manage digital door pin codes and guest access systems, requiring intermediate Excel skills and/or basic IT capability
* Undertake minor repairs and maintenance, including tap changes, painting, replacing or tightening toilet seats, basic fixtures, and general upkeep
* Carry out lawn mowing, gardening, and external property maintenance to ensure overall site presentation meets brand standards
* Assist with minor refurbishments and room upgrades to maintain and improve room condition and guest satisfaction
* Support operational compliance, safety standards, and daily reporting requirements
Qualifications & Skills
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) or Diploma of Hospitality Management in Australia or New Zealand
