POSITION DESCRIPTION The purpose of this position is to provide a consultancy/advisory service to managers, supervisors and employees. To actively share knowledge, advice and coach others to build and develop injury management capabilities to create high performing environments. You will work with all stakeholders to plan the return to work of injured employees to ensure best levels of recovery and minimise the impact of work-related injury on the individual and for the organisation. The Injury Managment and Wellness Specialist will maintain a portfolio of cases and work in partnership with the wider People & Culture team and the Governance teams to achieve proactive intervention after work related injury, whilst contributing to an equitable and cost effective Injury Management Service and reduction in the long term human and financial cost of workers compensation claims. The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
