Position focus
What's the focus of this position?
The PDHPE Teacher is responsible for the implementation of the College's vision for Christian education in the classroom through the effective teaching and support of the students entrusted into your care.
Responsibilities
* Planning, preparing, delivering and evaluating high quality and effective teaching programs from a Christian perspective that are in-line with NESA requirements and help support students to achieve their potential.
* Maintaining a high level of personal professional development.
* Supporting student learning and discipline within a pastoral framework.
* Energising a passion and purpose for the students entrusted into your care.
* Supporting the wellbeing and pastoral care of the student body.
You will be required to carry out other duties that are within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience as directed by your supervisor or Principal.
Essentials
* To promote the Christian vision and ethos of the school and broader organisation.
* To demonstrate a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
* Proven experience and expertise in subject specific Stage Four to Six syllabi.
* Possess positive classroom management skills and a desire to pastorally support and disciple the students.
* Possess a high level of interpersonal skills leading to constructive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
* An accredited Teaching Degree as recognised by NESA.

We will partner with you to support your performance and ongoing development to ensure you are fully prepared for future challenges as this position and our organisation adapts and grows. This position is full time commencing at the beginning of Term Four, 2025. The current hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:15pm.
