About the Role
Reporting to prison management within the Corrective Services division, you will operate a construction and maintenance workshop, overseeing building, assembly, and repair functions that support prison operations. You will supervise a team of officers and instructors, manage day‐to‐day workshop activities, and provide accredited on‐the‐job training and instruction to prisoners, empowering them with transferable trade skills. This hands‐on leadership role requires someone who is organised, resilient, and committed to quality outcomes in a secure environment.
Eligibility
* Certificate III in a Construction Trade: Brick and Block Laying, Carpentry and Joinery
* Certificate III in Building and Construction
* Certificate III in Building Maintenance
* Certificate III in Appliance Service
* Current valid Construction Induction Training accreditation (White Card)
* Current valid Class C Driver's Licence
* Valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or equivalent)
