International Business Development Manager
Location: UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs or UniSC Moreton Bay, Petrie. Position level: Level 8, salary range: $118,986 - $134,756 p.a. with up to 17% employer superannuation. Full‐time, ongoing appointment. Relocation assistance available.
The Opportunity
Lead the growth of UniSC's international presence across Europe and the Americas, with a particular focus on Northern and Western Europe and the United States of America. You will identify and develop new student recruitment opportunities, drive strategic initiatives that build sustainable pipelines, and manage key partnerships with education agents, institutions and government agencies. Success will be measured by enrolment targets and return on investment. You will lead an offshore team and keep UniSC connected and growing in high‐priority markets.
You will
* Drive strategic growth by developing and implementing international student recruitment strategies aligned with UniSC's broader internationalisation goals.
* Lead market analysis and insights, drawing from multiple data sources to identify trends, assess performance, and provide actionable advice to drive recruitment outcomes.
* Represent UniSC internationally with professionalism and cultural competency, building high‐impact relationships with education agents, government agencies, institutions and other key stakeholders.
* Manage recruitment performance by overseeing a team of mobile staff and consultants, evaluating effectiveness and ensuring a strong return on investment from all business development activities.

Qualifications
* Qualification (or progress toward completion) in a relevant field and extensive experience in international business development or international student recruitment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing region‐specific business development plans leading to measurable student recruitment growth.
* Experience leading high‐performing, geographically dispersed teams in a fast‐paced, target‐driven environment.
* Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting market intelligence and reporting against strategic goals.
* Effective budget and ROI management experience, with a clear understanding of cost‐per‐acquisition metrics and performance measurement.
* Excellent cross‐cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse relationships and negotiate strategic partnerships.
* Deep knowledge of international education systems and qualification frameworks, along with established networks in government, scholarship bodies and partner institutions.
* Understanding of the Australian and international higher education landscape, including compliance with ESOS, TEQSA and related internationalisation policies and frameworks.
Desirable
* Fluency in a language other than English relevant to UniSC's key international markets.
* Experience managing the performance of international recruitment partners, including education agents and transnational education providers.
