The Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service are identified as appropriate for the service, triaged promptly, and provided with front-line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care Medical Practitioner. Your Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care — triage every patient who walks through the door with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
* Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage — assess patient needs and prioritise care to ensure the best outcomes.
* Act decisively in critical moments — identify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration promptly to safeguard health.
* Utilise clinical skills — perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering, in a fast-paced environment.
* Thrive in a dynamic setting — demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to the challenges of urgent care.
* Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care — collaborate with patients, families, carers and medical practitioners to ensure a supportive care experience.
* Help patients reach health goals — support and guide them toward the best clinical outcomes.
* Educate patients — provide essential health information to empower self-management.
* Maintain meticulous documentation — complete patient records accurately and promptly to support continuity of care and quality standards.

About You
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Must be available evenings and weekends.
* Meet the minimum experience requirement in one of the following:
o 3 years in an Emergency Department setting, or
o 3 years of triage experience, or
o 3 years of experience in ICU/CCU, rural or remote nursing.
* Previous experience in triage with an emergency department; remote nursing is preferred.
* Working with Children's check and National Police check if not already obtained.
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
* Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
* A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.
