About the Roles
We are looking for a committed and dynamic people to join our Scott St Cairns team to bring together all things Retail & Trade to service our local customers with the right knowledge and advice.
Our Retail Assistant roles are diverse and we're seeking flexible people to join our thriving team in the following areas-
Picker & Packer - This is a highly active role, you will assist with counter sales, picking and packing, loading orders and manual handling of goods. You'll need to be organised, able to prioritise your workload, have an eye for detail and have a passion for customer service.
Inventory/ Stock Management - You'll bring your stock management knowledge and skills to assist our Inventory Performance Coordinator with planning, implementing promotions, merchandising, marketing activities, management of stock and have a high focus on customer service.
We're seeking motivated and enthusiastic people who consistently add value for the customer with every interaction. These opportunities are well suited to people who are passionate about customer service excellence and working as part of a high-performance team. You will get the opportunity for ongoing training and development to improve your skills, knowledge and the chance to work in different areas of the store whilst pursuing growth and learning on a daily basis.
Responsibilities will include
Prior experience with hardware, or within the building industry is advantageous. The roles are well suited to individuals with confidence, who enjoy working with people.
Handling of all stock is done in a manner to minimise damage and wastage
Ensure orders are prepared on time and in full to meet customer requirements
Build, maintain and raise standards across all aspects of the branch to ensure high quality customer service at all times
Monitor stock levels to ensure supply and demand needs are met
Undertake regular product training with market leading brands
Maintain store in a clean and safe manner adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines
Provide assistance where required with other departments
Fast paced learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Demonstrated experience in safe movement and stock care in all loading and unloading processes
Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods
Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy
Ability to cross sell product ranges to builders for a one stop shop approach
Computer literacy and strong numeracy skills
Must be results driven and be able to engage with others
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
Genuine commitment to Safety and Company values
High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
Have a commitment to ongoing job security
Previous stock management experience essential for Inventory role
Forklift Licence (LF) Essential for Picker & Packer role
