**The Opportunity**:
As the Vehicle Logistics Officer, you'll play a critical role supporting our regional businesses to meet and exceed our client's needs by ensuring the efficient coordination of deliveries and collections. Additionally, the role will ensure the efficient completion of jobs in accordance with safety, CoR, environmental standards and performance targets.
The Regional Vehicle Logistics Officer must ensure that all drivers perform their duties in a safe, competent and responsible manner and without risk to health, safety,quality or the environment. As the first point of contact for our business supervisors and operators to assist with any issues.
This is a full time permanent position and can be based in Townsville, Gladstone or Brisbane (ideally), a Monday to Friday roster with flexible hours between 7am and 5 pm.

**What you'll be responsible for**:
- Overseeing and supporting each business unit with bin deliveries/collections to maximise run efficiency
- Communicate accurate and timely information to all stakeholders
- Proactively review route performance to identify route optimisation and improvement opportunities
- Problem solve by responding to site and/or customer issues that are of immediate operational concern with a solutions focus
- Respond to any run confirmation and route checking queries raised by the Customer Services Team/Admin Team and/or customer
- Provide local support for the closure and allocation of completed runs
**What you'll need to be successful**:
- A background in logistics
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong people skills, including a strong ability to communicate and negotiate
- A strong focus on health and safety
- Cert IV in Logistics or Cert III in Waste Management (desired)
