This role supports our Senior Financial Advisers in developing and nurturing client and referral relationships and implementing quality, holistic advice.
Suitable for Advisers either undertaking or recently finished the Professional Year.The Professional Year Adviser will attend client meetings, document accurate notes, and liaise with clients on various activities, including booking appointments and scheduling reviews.This role offers excellent opportunities for future career growth within a leading professional services firm.Key Responsibilities IncludeSupport Senior Financial Advisers in client meetings and follow-up activities; have a good understanding of the advice process and proactively manage transactions and workflows associated with the strategic recommendations.Prepare modelling and advice documents.Develop high-quality, ethical financial planning advisory skills.Review client documentation and liaise with clients under the guidance of Senior Financial Advisers.Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to develop business pipelines.Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.Maintain accurate and compliant client records and documentation.What You Will Bring To Our TeamThis is an exciting career opportunity for a positive, proactive and motivated professional with experience in a similar role.
As a dedicated team player, you will bring the following qualities to our team:FASEA Approved and on the Adviser register OR requisite qualifications and experience to begin your professional year.Minimum of four years' experience in the Financial Planning profession.
Paraplanning and CSO experience is preferred but not mandatory.
We will consider candidates with strong transferrable skills in financial planning or similar roles, including chartered accountants.Advanced competency in Microsoft Office suite and financial planning software such as XPlan and WealthEye.Strong technical knowledge of the financial profession, ability to develop rapport and explain technical matters.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to apply a commercial focus and results driven.Ability to multi-task, prioritise own workload and manage competing priorities.Displays discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information, and with care.Why BDO?Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
