Overview
Risk Analyst, Incidents – AustralianSuper, Melbourne, Australia.
This is a 6-month contract reporting to the Manager, Incident Management.
The role sits within the Line 1 Risk and Compliance Team in the Member Domain, providing guidance and support in the end-to-end management of incidents, including conducting root cause analysis and assessing incidents.
The role helps identify risk reduction activities, recommends control enhancements or new controls, and contributes to delivering balanced business outcomes while continuously improving Fund processes and controls.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with incident owners to conduct initial investigations, gathering the necessary information to assess the nature and impact of incidents, ensuring informed decisions for effective management and resolution.
Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process or control improvements where applicable.
Assist the business in identifying and developing sustainable, commercially viable solutions to prevent future incidents.
Monitor incidents proactively, ensuring they are managed effectively, and all key activities are completed on time and to the required standard.
Maintain the integrity of incident and breach reporting data to support accurate reporting and generate insights that improve decision-making.
What You'll Need
3+ years' experience in operations, Risk or Compliance preferably in financial services.
Superannuation experience highly advantageous
Experience in incident, breach and/or fraud management highly desirable including the use of GRC technologies
Working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks including incident and breach management.
Good understanding of controls management practices including root cause analysis.
RG146 desired
Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a structured approach to solving problems and the ability to communicate complex scenarios clearly.
Strong written and oral communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas to a range of audiences including non-risk colleagues, 2nd line colleagues and senior stakeholders.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
