About the Role
As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will support the Venue Manager/Regional Manager in overseeing all daily operations across Bowling, Arcade, Laser Tag and Food & Beverage areas.
You will be hands-on, commercially minded, and passionate about guest experience, while also driving operational excellence behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in managing financial and physical resources of the centre
* Driving sales performance and achieving KPIs and targets
* Controlling wages, operational costs and stock levels
* Leading, coaching and motivating your team
* Building strong connections within the local Toowoomba community
* Liaising with local businesses, schools, sporting and community groups
* Ensuring full compliance with OHS, Food Safety & company policies
* Maintaining exceptional presentation standards across the venue
This is a fast-paced leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a high-energy entertainment environment.
About You
You are a proactive leader with a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a hands-on team leader in a multi-faceted business
* Strong background in retail, hospitality, catering or entertainment operations
* Proven ability to manage costs, wages and stock effectively
* A track record of achieving targets and driving results
* Excellent time management and ability to prioritise under pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills- you’re a true “people person”
* Exceptional attention to detail and reliability
* Flexible availability across days, nights, weekends and public holidays
* Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
* Applied knowledge of OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations (RSA required)
