ABOUT THE ROLE
8 Month Fixed Term Contract
The Project Manager leads the planning, execution and delivery of complex facility builds to deliver operational fully automated vertical farms. This role drives build projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives. The Project Manager also works with the wider project teams and acts as a key liaison between stakeholders, leadership and cross-functional teams.
Expected responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead end-to-end project management of new farm builds, from scoping and planning to delivery and handover.
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
Review and assess variations, assess contractor progress claims, and administer contracts.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology teams, operations, suppliers, partners, landlords, and builders/subcontractors.
Facilitate regular project meetings, updates, and clear communication channels.
Travel to project sites as needed for meetings, inspections, and coordination.
Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Continuously refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
Drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
ABOUT YOU
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in leading cross-functional teams, delivering complex projects on time and driving innovation across the agriculture and technology sector?
The ideal applicant:
3+ years of experience in project management, including 2+ years in a construction setting or construction related field. Experience in the process of building certification is highly valued.ocess improvements that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within agtech, manufacturing, engineering, or technology sectors highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience in budget management, resource allocation, and risk management.
Proven hands-on experience in Business, Engineering, or Project Management is highly valued and may substitute for formal education. A degree is appreciated but not essential; practical expertise is key
Proficient in administrative software/tools such as Microsoft Office and project management software.
Proficiency in basic accounting principles and experience using accounting package/payroll software.
Time management - Well-developed time management skills, effectively organising and prioritising workloads. Ability to multitask.
Solutions focused - The ability to acknowledge an issue or challenge while always looking for possible paths forward is critical.
Communication - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
