As our Traffic Management Design Officer, you will:
* Develop and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) for Council projects.
* Assess and approve TMP/TGS submissions for internal and external works.
* Investigate and resolve community concerns about traffic management.
* Audit and certify works for compliance with standards and safety.
* Liaise with residents, contractors, and government agencies.
* Contribute to a positive, multi-skilled team environment.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
What You will Bring
* Certificate IV in Civil Construction (essential)
* Traffic Management Design qualification (Main Roads, essential)
* General Construction Induction (White Card)
* QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence (or ability to transfer interstate licence)
* Experience investigatingand resolving traffic management issues
* Strong communication, research, and technical reporting skills
* Proficiency in RapidPlan software
* Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and AustRoads guides
Desirable
* Experience with CAD drafting and spreadsheets
* Understanding of Council's risk management framework
