Located at Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection, our restaurant is a celebration of seasonal Australian produce, seafood-led menus, and relaxed luxury — all set against the backdrop of Sydney’s most iconic waterfront. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of PIER Dining, lead a passionate front-of-house team, and ensure every guest experience is seamless, warm, and memorable. You’ll bring energy, leadership, and a love for hospitality to one of Sydney’s most scenic dining destinations. Core Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Excellence Lead by example in delivering exceptional service that reflects the Pier One and Marriott brands. Support the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager - Venues in overseeing daily operations, including floor service, reservations, and guest engagement. Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care, ensuring every visit ends on a high note. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and performance management. Operational Support Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to deliver a cohesive dining experience. Assist with inventory, ordering, and reporting as required. Candidate Profile Education & Experience 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years’ experience in food and beverage service or related professional area OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field; 1 year experience in food and beverage service or related professional area Preferred Qualifications Experience in premium or lifestyle dining environments Strong leadership and communication skills A passion for food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences Why Pier One?
