Independent Living Support Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Independent Living Support Specialist. This is a part-time position that requires commitment and flexibility.
The successful candidate will work with young people aged 16 and above, supporting them in attaining their own residence and maintaining independent living skills.
This role involves assisting clients with budgeting, home maintenance, education, and employment opportunities.
No two days are the same in this role, with tasks varying from attending appointments to supporting clients in accessing community services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support and guidance to young people in achieving independent living goals
* Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as budgeting and home maintenance
* Help clients access education and employment opportunities
* Attend appointments and meetings on behalf of clients
Requirements:
* 3 years' experience working with young people in IT and NDIS environments
* Diploma of Community Services or equivalent qualification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
