About the role:
The City of Karratha is undergoing a large ICTcentric strategic transformation, including the implementation of a replacement Local Government Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This 3 Year Fixed Term Position provides strategic leadership, governance, and direction for the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing management of People & Culture and Payroll related systems.
Operating under limited direction, the role has accountability for shaping and embedding HR technology solutions that align with the City's strategic objectives, workforce needs, and compliance requirements.
The People & Culture Systems Specialist will manage significant projects and lead organisational change to ensure the effective adoption of People & Culture and Payroll business systems across directorates. The role includes responsibility for policy influence, vendor liaison, and decisionmaking authority on HRIS strategy.

What we're looking for:
Degree‑level qualifications in Human Resources, Business Systems, Information Technology, or related field, with extensive relevant experience.
Postgraduate qualifications desirable (e.g., HR, Business Systems, Project Management).
Significant experience in HRIS implementation and corporate system governance.
Demonstrated project and change management experience (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
National Police Certificate (within 6 months).
