Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Technician to lead our service team. Reporting to the National Services Manager, this is a full-time role that requires individuals with deep industry knowledge and excellent leadership skills.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of programming and configuring control systems, conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to control system operation. They will also possess experience in leading and developing teams, developing quality designs and solutions, and preparing high-quality engineering deliverables.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery, adhering to safety regulations and protocols, and practicing a high degree of safety awareness. They will also participate in on-call duties and may need to work after hours including shift work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Programming and configuring control systems to meet specific project requirements and ensure optimal plant performance.
* Conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to the control system operation.
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing control system equipment for clients.
* Providing technical support to customers, either onsite or remotely, including training on control system operation and maintenance.
* Documenting service activities, including maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records.
Requirements:
* A Grade Electrical Licences (Electrical Mechanic).
* Minimum 5+ years control system experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
* Experience in leading and developing teams.
* Experience developing quality designs and solutions with a client-focused attitude.
* Demonstrated experience in control and PLC/SCADA system fault finding and programming.
* Experience preparing high-quality engineering deliverables (reports, specifications, methodologies).
* Experience with onsite commissioning.
* Must have full work rights in Australia.
