About the opportunity
Mercy Palliative Care is a 24‐hour community‐based palliative care service providing in‐home care to patients of all ages with life‐limiting illnesses. Our services cover the North and West Metropolitan region of Melbourne, which incorporates seven municipalities including Brimbank, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Valley, Hobsons Bay, and Wyndham.
The multi‐disciplinary team—including doctors, nurses, and allied health—commits to providing holistic care to patients and their families, ensuring they experience the best quality of life while addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Our aim is to deliver quality patient care with a focus on symptom management while providing support to patients and their families to relieve psychological, financial, and emotional burden during the palliative phase.
Candidate Requirements
* Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration.
* Minimum of 5 years previous experience in palliative care with a comprehensive understanding of palliative care concepts.
* Current experience in training and education is preferable; Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment or working towards it.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse multidisciplinary team.
* Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
* Current driver's licence.
