Pharmacist Senior, Queensland Health – Brisbane, Australia
Your new role:
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering expert clinical pharmacy services while supporting safe, high‐quality patient care across multiple facilities by:
* Providing advanced clinical pharmacy services including medication history taking, medication reviews and pharmaceutical care planning.
* Using independent clinical judgement to manage complex patient caseloads and discharge medication reconciliation.
* Delivering high-level advice to medical, nursing and allied health teams on medicines management and patient care.
* Supervising pharmacists, interns, students and pharmacy support staff within the service.
* Leading medication safety, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
* Contributing to education, research and service development across Logan‐Beaudesert Health Service.
* Participating in rotational rosters, overtime and on‐call services as required.
About you:
You will be an experienced and motivated pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment with:
* Registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated high‐level clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in hospital settings.
* Strong ability to manage complex clinical workloads and make sound professional decisions.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven leadership capability in supervising, mentoring and developing others.
* Experience in quality improvement, medication safety or research activities.
* Flexibility to work across varying shifts and locations within Metro South Health.
