We are looking for a Senior Ocean Freight Export Specialist, within the Ocean Freight Export Department at our Matraville, Sydney Station.

Overall Job Purpose Your primary role will be to manage, execute, and oversee all shipment activities, acting as the main point of contact for customers.
You will ensure service commitments are met, build strong client relationships to identify upselling opportunities, and optimize profitability through strategic routing and accurate invoicing.
Additionally, you will need to maintain regulatory compliance and promptly address customer concerns to foster loyalty and trust.
Key Responsibilities To arrange the timely and efficient handling of all required export documentation in accordance with customer and destination requirements.
To facilitate bookings with carriers / co-loaders and executing all pertinent shipping documentation.
To create and confirm transport orders to ensure pickup of the shipment at origin and following up on shipment status within the export area.
Identifying performance issues of suppliers and proposing solutions to improve operations.
To be a key contact for customers; handling customer inquiries and requests and assisting with customer complaints resolution.
To proactively communication to customers regarding shipment status and exceptions.
To manage the day-to-day export transactional and operational requirements.
Key Accountabilities: To build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer's business and the market.
To assess the type and size of customer needs.
To recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge.
To connect a customer need with a DHL solution and the value it may create for the customer.
