Job Title: Customer Innovation Scientist
We are seeking a technically skilled innovator with a passion for customer-focused product development.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead customer-focused new product development projects from concept to commercialisation.
* Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver bespoke solutions aligned with end-use requirements.
* Provide technical guidance on process optimisation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
* Manage laboratory and pilot line activities, ensuring robust scale-up and quality standards.
* Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, becoming a technical advisor in your field.
* Apply Six Sigma and practical problem-solving principles to design and trial new products.
* Support strategic initiatives including export control, IP management, and chemical safety compliance.
Additionally, you will be responsible for carrying out structured, repetitive practical processes requiring a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Requirements:
* A degree or higher in Chemistry.
* Experience in a technical role, ideally within materials science or a related field.
* Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Design for Six Sigma qualification.
* PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management training.
* Advanced data analysis skills including DOE and process capability assessment.
