About the role
Join the Events Travel team as a Reservations & Travel Consultant for major sports events. In this full-time position based in Merricks North, VIC, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of reservation services for our clients attending prestigious sporting events in Australia and around the world. With your exceptional customer service skills, you will ensure our clients have a seamless and memorable experience.
Applicants will only be considered when already living on the Mornington Peninsula.
What you'll be doing
* Respond to incoming calls and emails from customers making reservations for major sporting events
* Provide expert advice on accommodation, transportation, and event logistics to help customers plan their event experience
* Process bookings and payments, and manage changes or cancellations with efficiency and care
* Liaise with our travel and hospitality partners to secure the best available rates and packages
* Maintain detailed records and documentation to support smooth event operations
* Escalate and resolve any customer service issues in a timely and professional manner
* Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our reservations processes and systems
What we're looking for
* Experience in a reservations, customer service or travel coordination roles
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to work under pressure during peak event periods
* Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer experiences
* Sound knowledge of major sporting events, venue logistics and hospitality industry practices
* Proficiency in using reservation systems, CRM tools and MS Office applications
* Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to continuous learning
* Australian citizenship required for this position
