About the role

Colac Corangamite Child and Family Alliance Project Worker

temporary part time 12 months from commencement

16 hours per fortnight

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

This initial 12 month role will lead the development of a comprehensive data collection and evaluation framework to support the continuous improvement of family support interventions. These interventions are critical in promoting family stability, child well-being, and long-term resilience, particularly among vulnerable families.

While family support services offer significant benefits, their effectiveness can vary depending on implementation methods, available resources, and levels of family engagement. This project will examine existing data collection practices to establish a clear and accurate picture of the interventions currently being delivered and their impact on family outcomes.

The successful candidate will design and implement a robust data framework that enables practitioners to capture, track, and reflect on the effectiveness of their support strategies. The framework will provide practitioners and service leaders with valuable insights into how interventions are contributing to family goals, progress, and long-term outcomes.

Through systematic data analysis, the project will identify trends, best practices, service gaps, and opportunities for improvement, ultimately strengthening service delivery, informing resource allocation, and improving outcomes for families in need.

What's required?

* Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in Social Work or other related discipline at degree level or above.
* Demonstrated experience in leading research, evaluation, or data-informed projects.
* Proven ability to design, implement, and deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably within a human services or community setting.
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skill.
* Experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, with the ability to translate findings into meaningful insights and recommendations for practice improvement.
* Knowledge and understanding of family support or related community services.
