Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mental health nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in a critical role that supports clients requiring acute mental health care. This position is responsible for delivering triage, comprehensive assessments, and assertive outreach services to individuals and their families, ensuring access to the least restrictive and most effective treatment options.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, their families, and carers to develop collaborative treatment plans that reflect best practice and evidence-based care. This role requires strong teamwork and coordination with inpatient units, community-based services, and other members of the Access team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of people presenting with acute mental health disorders
* Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills and verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act and related legislation
* Understanding of recovery oriented care with demonstrated ability to meaningfully collaborate with consumers and their family and carers regarding mental health service provision
* Computer competency including demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems used in Health settings
