About the role:
As an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant you will deliver innovative business solutions through design, build and test, including responsibility for systems integration. You will leverage your subject matter expertise and your leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client success. We would like you to have a solid SAP Integration background with at least 2 full implementations, ideally in a large government organisation environment. Strong experience in integration design, planning and managing execution of the integration development build. Experience in the S/4 HANA Fiori development is a must.
Job Requirements:
* Security Clearance - Applicants must have an active NV1 AGSVA clearance.
* Location - Melbourne, Ballarat, Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane
* Start – February 2026. Contract Opportunity.
* Be an Australian citizen with an active NV1 security clearance.
* Minimum 3 years SAP experience developing solutions for SAP systems.
* At least 2 full cycle implementations in a senior development role.
* Basic knowledge of HANA development and administration.
* Knowledge of ABAP, REST services, ESR Objects.
* Experience in building complex interfaces to and from SAP S4HANA.
* Experience with SAP Integration applications (BAPI, IDOC, ALE).
* Experience with SOAP and RESTful web services, XML Schemas, WSDLs.
* Experience with PI/PO and Data Services.
* Ability to communicate clearly, listen, understand, and adapt to the audience.
* Proven success in contributing and collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrable skills in ABAP and integration to PI/PO and Data Services.
* Development and administration of IDOCs and Web Services.
* Design and development experience producing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services including XML Schemas and WSDLs.
* Working experience building complex interfaces to and from SAP S4HANA.
* Contribute and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
* Communicate clearly and adapt to the audience.
The Successful Candidate:
* Experience developing SAP Integration applications with other Interfacing Systems.
* Demonstrated experience as an SAP Integration Developer (BAPI, IDOC, ALE).
* Basic knowledge of SAP functional modules.
* Experience working in large SAP project teams with complex business rules.
* Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn and share information.
