The Grande Escape Resort, Margaret River is eagerly seeking an exceptional Restaurant Manager and Receptionist or if you have experience in both of these areas this job is for you.
Our Restaurant Manager needs to be a hardworking, enthusiastic, and ambitious individual who leads from the front to take charge of our restaurant and bar service. You will oversee restaurant operations, build a customer-focused team, and implement leading customer service standards. This key role aims to make us a benchmark-setting venue. Responsibilities and Duties:
 * Coordinate daily restaurant and bar operations to deliver exceptional service
 * Manage day-to-day financials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
 * A flair for guest engagement and problem solving
 * Exceed customers' expectations by providing an outstanding dining experience and active participation while on duty
 * Ensure all food served is of an excellent standard
 * Regular coaching, training and mentoring of staff to improve them and service standards fostering motivation and growth
 * Develop relationships with new and regular restaurant patrons
 * Coordinate daily/weekly updates with the reservations, functions and bus tour team
 * Manage bookings and balance seat capacity
 * Prepare the rostering for the restaurant
 * Cost control with a focus on labour
 * Managing customer feedback and reputation
 * Monitor and manage stock levels for the bar and restaurant to ensure optimal inventory control
 * Collaborate with the kitchen to assist in the delivery of creative menus and event styling
 * Coordinate employee schedules to ensure efficient staffing
 * Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain HACCP and cleaning standards
 * Participate regularly in management meetings and report to the Manager
The successful applicant must have 2/3 years' experience in a similar role and hold an RSA, Approved Manager's Certificate WA.
You will also have:
 * An Open Drivers' License
 * Strong food and beverage knowledge
 * Previous experience with RMS platform, similar or a willingness to learn is an advantage to be able to check after hours reservations
 * Strong leadership and people skills
 * Be a creative thinker
 * Effective time management and organizational skills
 * Excellent communication with a great command of the English language (written and verbal)
 * Knowledge of current liquor legislation
 * Hands on approach with a natural ability to lead a team rather than manage them
 * Willing to commit long term
We also require an experienced Receptionist to join our team. You must have at least 1 to 2 years' experience in a hotel in this role. Highly effective administrative experience with functions, groups, data entry and other office functions is beneficial.
The ideal candidate will:

· Have the ability to complete reservations, group bookings, room allocations, accounts, invoicing and payment handling.
· Possess a willingness to work a rotating roster, including shifts on weekends and Public Holidays
· Have a professional manner and maintains the highest standard
· Have experience in RMS or a similar property management system
· Manage a large volume of calls and emails with professional etiquette
· Build positive relationships with a high level of interpersonal skills
· Understand the importance of the guest experience and a passion to deliver exceptional service
· Efficiently manage guest complaints
· Provide guests with information about the hotel facilities, services and local attractions
· Ensure smooth and efficient check-in/check-out procedures
· Maintain accurate daily cash reports and reconcile accounts
· Communicate with excellent oral and written skills
· Have multitasking capabilities without compromising on quality
· Possess a willingness to assist the food and beverage team in making coffee for guests and serving drinks from the bar at appropriate times
· Possess an aptitude and willingness to learn additional software if required
The successful applicant for each role must have valid working rights in Australia and have an Australian National Police Clearance, no more than three months old.
Both of these positions are casual unless you have the skills in both areas which may lead up to full time hours.
