Nurse Consultant - Allergy and Clinical Immunology
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Consultant to join our Allergy and Clinical Immunology team at Women's and Children's Health Network in North Adelaide.
* The successful applicant will provide clinical nursing expertise and leadership for specified patients, groups, and areas of practice.
* They will act as an expert resource for patients, families, health professionals, educational institutions, and the community across South Australia.
* The role involves delivering high-level child and adolescent allergy and clinical immunology care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
* Responsibilities include managing cases and supporting paediatric patients with allergic conditions and immunodeficiency diseases.
* The successful applicant will also coordinate and lead projects or programs to improve patient, client, and service outcomes.
* Key responsibilities include ensuring accountability for nursing/midwifery practice, care outcomes, professional advice, and delegated responsibilities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
* A Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
* Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
