Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical systems and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in industrial machinery, control systems, and plant equipment. Test, inspect, and ensure all mechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards. Minimize downtime by responding promptly to mechanical breakdowns and performing efficient repairs. Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and recommend system improvements for enhanced performance and reliability. Collaborate with production and operations teams to optimize system uptime and productivity. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities. Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Requirements: Mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III) Proven experience as a maintenance fitter, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of industrial mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
