Director of Employment – 4 Day Week

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of 10–15 employment lawyers defending client claims, with a focus on unfair dismissal, general protection, sexual harassment, bullying, age discrimination, and underpayment claims.
* Coordinate and supervise the delivery of litigation, technical and commercial work, ensuring high quality and efficient representation.
* Mentor and coach junior lawyers, fostering professional development and maintaining a collaborative team culture.
* Provide commercial guidance to the practice, identify growth opportunities, and drive business development initiatives.
* Maintain a positive, resilient approach to a busy workload and support a strong team ethic.
Requirements
* Exceptional employment law experience with a proven track record in the areas listed above.
* High commercial acumen and strong supervisory, people and financial management skills.
* Strong influencing skills to relate effectively at all levels.
* Ability to lead, influence and motivate others; positive approach to workload challenges.
* Experience in managing, coaching and supervising teams of lawyers.
Reporting to the Director of Legal Services, your ability to lead, influence and motivate others will be second nature as is your positive approach to a busy workload and strong team ethic.
