About the Role
We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team of eight to provide active overnight support. Experience is valued but not essential, we are happy to train applicants new to the industry who demonstrate the right attitude and values. This role involves supporting one participant overnight, ensuring her safety, monitoring her wellbeing, and responding promptly and confidently to her needs throughout the shift. Daytime support also required for handover and routine transitions.
Required Availability
* Friday 9pm - 7am Saturday morning (10 hours) - Active Overnight
* Saturday 9pm - 7am Sunday morning (10 hours) - Active Overnight
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one overnight support, ensuring safety, monitoring wellbeing and responding to any needs throughout the night.
* Assist with evening and morning routines, including personal care and daily living tasks.
* Support communication and social interaction using established strategies and tools.
* Follow personalised support strategies that align with her needs, routines and goals.
* Maintain a calm, predictable environment and utilise regulation strategies when required.
* Work collaboratively with family, allied health professionals and other support staff to ensure consistent, holistic care.
* Complete accurate documentation, including overnight observations and shift notes.
* Promote a safe, respectful and dignified environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services, or a related field preferred but not required.
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (required).
* First Aid & CPR certification (required).
* Valid Driver's Licence (required).
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules (required).
* Australian working rights (required).
* Experience in the disability or community services sector preferred but not essential full training provided.
* Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and foundational Positive Behaviour Support principles.

Pay: $44.80 – $72.80 per hour
