Responsibilities
* Based in our stylish Robina office, support the development, management and evolution of our product range
* Understand, recognise and implement design standards and processes
* Produce accurate design documentation that addresses the design brief and aligns with product and display delivery programs
* Take on a design concept and implement the idea(s) across the product range
* Positively support and foster continual improvements on product designs
* Resolve design related queries arising from Display, Masters, Operations and other disciplines within the business
* Manage the design and documentation of all aspects of the home (site plans, floor plans, facades, elevations, internals, design options, relevant details, DOL/other forms of schedules)
* Keep up-to-date and adhere to national building codes and regulations
* Aware of procedures for obtaining permits and approvals for construction projects
* Stay on trend and current with residential design trends, new building products and emerging technologies to drive innovation
* Meet set deadlines and contribute actively to individual and team workflow, reporting and time management
* Problem solve and contribute positively to the solution of product designs
Qualifications
* Strong design skills and passion for design excellence
* Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative residential designs, demonstrating user‐centred design principles
* Relevant degree or diploma in Building Design & Drafting, Diploma of Architectural Drafting or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years of experience in design and/or drafting environment
* Experience in the residential volume home building industry in design and/or drafting capacity is highly preferred
* Proficiency in design software and tools relating to house design; preference for advanced CAD skills in Revit
* Proficiency with current versions of Microsoft Office suite, and aptitude for learning new systems
* Strong knowledge of building and planning codes and standards
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team‐orientated environment
